F310 BBR 1/20
Hi guys ! Sometimes I pop up, but as the quarantine goes, well i got time to finish some kits in my stash.
Here's the Ferrari F310 from BBR , 1/20 scale. Given by my dear friend JS1115.
Always like this formula 1 coupled with a F-15. Best of both world.
The kit is really precise, more than the ST27 one.
Nice aluminium rims, carbon decals, metal rods etc. Everyhting to build a nice kit. Only drawback, the resin is very rigid and breakable, and the decal a bit stiff. Not yet at LMM level but still.
Build is quite easy, except for the assembly of the upper and lower that requires a lot of dry fitting, sanding etc.
Rims, despite being gold originally, have received a layer od Alclad gold, to enhance the color.
The red was tricky. Tameo and BBR say TS49 bit on a lot of pics, the car didn't look that bright but not as dull as TS8 to me. So i went pink primer, ts49 and a layer of TS8 to deeepen the color a bit. Looked good to me.
Carbon is black paint with a coat of dark gun metal through an Eduard Mesh.Saves money instead of cutting decals
The barge boards fixations is quite precise, way more than the "wherever you wanna glue them" from ST27
A porsche GT1 is done, and I'm finishing a Gold line XJR-14 right now.
See you soon !

Beautiful job, I've always considered this car a bit ugly but interesting - hence I have this kit also

Nice
Re: F310 BBR 1/20
Sweet! Very nice build!
I have the same kit sitting in a box, started years ago
Not Barnard's or Ferrari's finest but I like that car's shape very much too.
Unlike you I also like BBR's resin. Good colour to see the surfaces and I like the density.
Looking forward to the GT1 and that Gold Line XJR-14. That's also in a box here

Re: F310 BBR 1/20
Very nice job!
I was reminded on Facebook the other day that Schumacher had won his first race for Ferrari in this car at a very wet Spanish GP. Since I also have this BBR kit and the BBR rain tires from the 1997 F310B, I was thinking about replicating Michael’s 1996 Spanish GP winner. My question is this: are the 1997 rain tires close enough to represent the 1996 style rain tires?
Stay safe everyone.
