Lotus 102B & 102D // Mika Häkkinen // Tamiya 1/20
About time these two are put in the cabinet! I started these somewhere around September of last year, and those who followed the WIP thread back then knew that I ran into some pretty major setbacks. I took a break from these between February to November when I picked them back up and decided to push on.
Both 102s are Häkkinen's cars, with the 102B depicting the configuration from the 1991 San Marino GP, and the 102D depicting the 1992 Brazilian GP.
Again, big thanks to Steffen_T for the reference materials, for which many components of these builds would simply not have been possible, especially for the 102D.
Overall I'm quite happy with how they both turned out. I think the 102D came out marginally better, but considering what state the 102B was in earlier in the year I will admit that it was quite a feat to recover it to this level.
****WIP THREAD****
Kit: Tamiya 1/20 1991 Lotus 102B
Paints: Zero Paints Pure Brilliant White, 2K Diamond Clear, misc. Alclad Metals
Decals: Vector Magic sponsor decals, Studio 27 carbon fibre decals
Extras: Studio 27 photo-etched set
Kit: Tamiya 1/20 1992 Lotus 102D
Paints: Zero Paints 102D Paint Set, 2K Diamond Clear, misc. Alclad Metals
Decals: Shunko sponsor decals, Studio 27 carbon fibre decals
Extras: Studio 27 photo-etched set (102B set works for the 102D)
Sorry there's a lot of photos below (2 cars worth) so hopefully it loads and displays properly for everyone.
Thanks for looking! I'd be happy to answer any questions about the kits in general or my builds specifically.

Very nice work, especially the rescue job, well done!
Have there been decals for steering wheel included?
