Re: A trilogy of three transkits
It's a very interesting post to follow for those, like me, who hesitate to buy the transkit.
The first feeling is good because I like the quality of the front wing.
I'm impatient to read the complete building in order to see how the parts fit together, the quality of the decals (especially the white decals over the blue paint), the quality of the tire marking and the reference of the blue paint that will be use for the body.
If the complete building is as good as this beginning, for sure I'll buy one.
And thank you very much for this usefull WIP.
Eric

Re: A trilogy of three transkits
Hi Ed... great post, thanks for this, I'll follow with captivated interest...
I too may be swayed to get all three kits, if I can find them, I do have one.

I've always believed that you should never, ever give up and you should always keep fighting, even when there's only a slightest chance.

Re: A trilogy of three transkits
Just to be perfectly clear, we've never had an F1 team shut down anything here because someone built an unlicensed kit. We have F1 team members on here too. While there is a legit reason to be concerned, there is no precedence saying it would happen. Its more likely the site would get in trouble for having a domain that people will confuse with F1 Management for example, and its been 20 years and we're pretty safe so far!

Re: A trilogy of three transkits
fatfrog might have more reason to be cautious as he actually distributes the kit. Building an unlicensed kit can't get you in trouble since you're not profiting from it, but selling and distributing unlicensed products can. Nothing wrong with playing it safe. The rest of us shouldn't feel concerned for their own sake.
I should be receiving my kit in the mail today or tomorrow, I'll post pictures of the complete set including decals soon.
