Re: 1/20 Mclaren MP4/5b
Small Update:
Paints are still MIA... I saw that spotmodel is going to be stocking 30ml bottles of the mp4 red/brilliant white which should be exempt from hazmat fees. I'll probably wait on my original order but if I grow impatient it's nice to know there's another option.
I've started the carbon work on the tub. This is my first time trying to do carbon at this scale. It's definetly not perfect but I think it looks ok so far. I'll try and touch up the problem spots before everything gets sealed.

Bo, welcome to the F1M Forum! - You will soon find that there are others from Austin (You may already know them). Anyway, one day soon, a few of us fellow modelers are thinking of gathering somewhere at COTA, and meeting each other face to face, swapping stories, and shooting the bull...
'looking forward to the completion of that little beauty you're working on...
Best wishes, Querque

Thanks guys. I still don't have my tickets for this years race but would love to meet some fellow F1 fans.
Tackled the brake ducts. still need to add the saftey wires to the rotor hubs then the brakes will be done (sans calipers).

Hi Bo
A beautiful model, I build the same. Looks very good. Be careful with the PE rear wing support. Have my gear flush removed. Now the hood does not fit in the back anymore.
I look forward to your progress.
