WNW Dambuster Lancaster model
Too nice not to be seen by modelers. My guess is about 80% here know WNW's history. The front cockpit will be a stand alone kit. Just look at the amazing detail! Easy to google to find a dozen photos

It really does look astonishingly detailed. Who would ever have thought we'd end up with a kit such as this. Can't wait to see one in the plastic and built up.

Re: WNW Dambuster Lancaster model
For a moment, i thought they would do the whole plane, so i was wondering about total size seen the scale: 1/32...
Now it seems it's only the cockpit...

Re: WNW Dambuster Lancaster model
I think this project is an example of the future trend for our hobby. Much, much more complex and very expensive kits in big scales. The customer are typically grown-up men - and they have the budget and demand for very expensive kits. The days when our hobby was for children with the weekly pocket money budget are long gone.

I agree. I thought it may also go to a subscription type purchase.
Re: WNW Dambuster Lancaster model
They're releasing two versions: the full aircraft, and one that is just the cockpit.daveyman wrote:The WNW website are showing it as a kit of the full aircraft.
Je ne regrette rien.

Re: WNW Dambuster Lancaster model
That really pushes the envelope. I have a couple of WNW kits and they are beautiful. A 1/32 Lancaster is a stunning project for a model company to develop but the kit looks smashing. That kit would take me years to finish..,,

Re: WNW Dambuster Lancaster model
HK Models recently released a 1/32 Lancaster in a couple of versions. Its retailing at over $400 US at Hobby Search so I hate to think what the WingNuts one will retail at.
