Yeah i watched his qualifing laps on youtube, fantastic indeeddaveyman wrote:I remember watching Monaco that year, first race since losing Aryton and Roland.
Martin Brundle in the Mclaren was spinning the wheels up and leaving tyre marks lap after lap leaving the Antony Nughes corner. Looked fantastic.

Yes thats right, also a tamiya conversion, there is a topic on this forum from some time ago, i will update when i proceed with painting. In a couple of weeks i will have a nice new modeling room with a spray booth so i'm preparing a few models up to the painting stage.daveyman wrote:Is that a Jordan 192 alongside?

That's so embarrassing!
Within three weeks you are doing a conversion which I couldn't get done in a few month!

Re: McLaren MP4/9 conversion from Tamiya MP4/8
Hi,
I recently ordered a spray can with RAL3024 luminous red for my mclaren, this is the original color wich was used on MrLBr0 McLarens. In the past i used Zero paints MP4 red but i was not very impressed with the color, not poppy/day glow enough, just bright orange/red.
I decanted the spray paint in a jar and i let it de-gas in a small vacuum chamber at work. I also did a small test out of the rattle can on a white surface and WOW! what a color
I'm looking forward to put it on the model!!
Update will follow soon.
