Some good progress to the SF71H build recently.

The floor parts from smirkoff have been added. I did have to add a little plastic packer due to my cuts not being straight other than that they fit perfect.

A little super glue to fill the join line and its ready for primer.

On to the body and it was flatted back and white primer applied.

After this the white primer was sanded back lightly to knock off the high spots and a few layers of zero paints Sf70 red applied.

A little 2k gloss was added soon after.

And finally the decals have been started.

More to come very soon

Great work so far! The 3D printed parts have been very cleanly integrated with the Tamiya parts. Will be keeping an eye on this thread.

Wow, this looks amazing, can't wait to see the finished product. Just wondering, was the white primer applied over the silver color? Will some silver be revealed later?

No. I have to strip the body again as the silver really threw of the shade of red. I will be updating the thread later today to show where i am currently as alot has changed.

So let's have a nice Saturday update.

Over the last week or so the car has changed massively so at a starting point alot of the extra 3d parts for the barge boards and such have been sprayed with primer after a quick wash. (One note due to the thickness of these parts use only a cold warm water to wash)

Starting off the halo. It's one of the thickest parts so no worries with it.
Image

The massively complex barge boards.
Image

The side pod areas need some work due to the layering effect but nothing too bad.
Image

The rear suspension parts. Note that i only noticed smirkoff on the sprue after primer.
Image

The floor part i wasn't 100% happy with. It needs a little filling.
Image

Body decals are close to being complete.
Image

The under side has had carbon decals added. Also the under body fins have been changed.
Image

Almost complete. Super happy with the result so far. Decals from kmp have been perfect, mission winnow decals from grand prix decals have been more or less perfect apart from my errors but they are being amazing and hopefully very soon I will have replacements for the ones I messed up. And obviously all the 3d parts have up to this point been great.
Image

Comparing it to the 2017 car naturally the changes are not huge as its the same kit but they are big enough not to 100%say it's the same kit.

More soon
