The Tyrrell, and Lotus for that matter are fantastic!!! Still love that era, where there were new ideas flowing like water/wine, and your 003 really does it justice. Great work!!

Chris

Nice one (two!) Jake. I like the way the DFV in each kit is specific for the car and not a generic one like Tamiya.

Both models are very nice, Jake. I have several Ebbro kits in the stash but have yet to build one. I can only hope my results are even close to yours!

Excellent job!! And great to see a different version than what is in the kit's box. I'm currently building one of Ebbro's Type 72 in the same spirit, and I'm enjoying a lot.

Nice build! I got the same kit recently and it looks like it will be fun to build and detail further. Lots more than a S27 resin lump for sure

Thanks for all the comments, guys! It's an honor to get such great feedback from whom I consider the best modellers out there.
The blue lines and the Goodyear logos come printed on the tires and they are immaculate! Same with the gold lines on the Lotus 49. It's amazing how much nicer Ebbro's tires are than any other mainstream kit I've seen.indygp2001 wrote:Jake, I love the tires and wheels on your Tyrrell.
Are those decals or are the "Blue Lines" already on the tires? - Regardless, they look Great!
The car you built looks fantastic over-all!
Thank You for sharing, Kirk
I think the engine is the biggest difference between the older Tamiya stuff and these Ebbro kits. The attention to detail in specifications between races is amazing - I checked photo references just to be safe but so far with the Tyrrell and Lotus they've been spot on.alexpayne wrote:Nice one (two!) I look forward to seeing that! How's the build going? I'm hoping to start their 72C in the next few weeks, it sure looks great in the box.smirkoff wrote:Excellent job!! You'll never believe it, but seeing at the USGP in October was exactly what prompted me to start the kit! That driver was really pushing it, he was holding his own against cars 10 years newer! I was amazed how small the car was.plastiksurgeon wrote:Great job Jake !! Nice photography as well !
I just saw this car race in Austin at the USGP, October, in the vintage event.
I love that you finished this just at the turn of the year ! I was modeling into the new year as well ! Long may us "hard cores" run !!!!!!!
Best,
Steve Mohlenkamp
You have quite literally answered my prayers - it's been driving me insane for weeks! That's a fascinating fact, thanks for the info.Chinamalc wrote:
Nice build! The red rectangle is the sticker awarded after passing through scrutineering, so any photos at Germany with out are practice sessions before the race, Ceverts '71 sticker was on the opposite side of the white number circle. The '72 sticker was a blue triangle. There is writing on the sticker in German, but not sure what is says exactly.
AFAIK at all other races the sticker was put inside the cockpit.

Great build, Jake! I really love the polish and finish you've given the car. And she does look good next to your Rob Walker Lotus 49. Nice job!
Cheers, Chris
