Has any of you guys used Zero's new chrome paint?
Zero paints seems to have a new chrome paint.
And when you read the instructions on the Hiroboy site does it requires a clearcoat.
Most remarkable, the clearcote does not dull the chrome effect!
remarkable

Re: Anyone used Zero's new chrome paint?
Hi
'New'? I'm not totally sure it is a new product? I have tried Zero chrome some years ago when it came in a 'package' with sealer and groundcoat. It gave a nice metallic finish- but chrome like in mirror finish? No way.
Alclad chrome is still the best. MFH made some paint to go with the MP4-23 which is waterbased and very good - BUT it is very temperamental. Just the slightest too much MFH chrome sprayed on the model and it will get a duller finish.
Alclad chrome is still the easiest to get right - all things considered. It can be covered with Alclads own gloss for chrome which is milky white in the bottle. Works like a charm and with just a little reduction in mirrorfinish. I have used that combo on my Revell MP4-25.
Best regards
Flemming

AK Interactive Extreme Chrome is a good as Alclad, IMHO.
Re: Anyone used Zero's new chrome paint?
I use Alclad a lot but i am always looking for something easier. The next experiment will be Spaz Stix. Has anyone tried Spaz Stix? It is available from Amazon.

Re: Anyone used Zero's new chrome paint?
Thanks Noddy. That is a very definitive answer. I think I will order up some Spaz Stix! I like the look better than kit chrome which is too reflective.
Thanks again for the response.

The Spaz Stix chrome is awesome but a bit tricky. Too much, you lose the shine. Too little, you can see the undercoat. My suggestion would be to do some test pieces to get a feel for it.
