Louwman museum den Haag Holland

Post by roly01 »

Hi,

Last weekend we went to the Louwman car museum in den Haag in the Netherlands.
I had heard about it but had never visited it, I was very pleasently surpriced!
The building itself was already very nice from the outside.
Being a private collecting everything was very nice presented and the whole building was also very clean.
The collection is very different and wel pesented all over.
There is also e nice collection of racingcars including some F1's, Indy and sportsprototypes.
And a special ally for the Italian cars from the 50's, 60's and 70's incl, Maseraties, Alfa's, Abarth's and Ferrari's.
Very mich worth a visit.

Is that a Spyker airplane with the Orange roundels?
What is the car/boat?

Yes that's also a Spyker, they also used to made planes.

It's a FIAT showcar, looks much like a boat but it can only drive on the road.
It was in a lane with other amphibious cars, so at first I thought it was also a boat.
But it was a showpiece of somekind to promote some kind of water activity.

That's great. Glad you got to go there. The history you saw. Even Elvis' pink Cadillac!
