Re: Max Papis Miller/Harley Davidson 1999 Reynard
Time to bring one from the dead back up.
There is a contest here in about two weeks so i thought i would try to wrap it up. For what should be an easy build this one has been a fighter all the way. Anyhow i now have the body glued together and the suspension arms in place, interior is wrapped up except for the dash and wheel. All i need now are a couple of extra decals for the tyres which should be here any day now and it is done.

I love the livery, looking forward to see this in the flesh at Model Expo next week. And I see c/f decal on the bottom of the floorplan, nice touch!

Nice work there Shayne.
Good luck at Model Expo, won't be there this year.
Cheers, Paul.

Stunning paintwork. Love the look of these cars in trimmed out speedway spec. Look forward to seeing this finished.

Re: Max Papis Miller/Harley Davidson 1999 Reynard (Finished)
Well after a long drawn out process i can finally add this one to the completed cabinet. Revell kit, Speedline decals and Tamiya paint with 2K over the whole thing to seal it up. I do like these kits and i have to say now that i have done the speedway version i do prefer the road course look better.

Re: Max Papis Miller/Harley Davidson 1999 Reynard
Shayne, this is a wonderful job!, on both kits for that matter...
I love how the metal flake in the blue paint is "to scale".
You have truly done justice to this Revell kit, and I hope you will do many more of
Them in the future...perhaps you will try your hand at some of the early '70s AMT
kits that can be had on EBAY for not too much money (I'm sure you are already
Aware of that....).
What I like most about your cars is how they brought back a memory of mine from
Back in 1980, when my Dad took me to the Indy 500. We stayed in a hotel downtown
That had a little restaurant with a display case full of the original 1/25 AMT kits.
The builder was a pro, just like you - and I wanted to look at those cars forever!
But we had to go and see the race!
Thanks for bringing back that awesome memory with your builds,
Kirk

Congrats Shayne, super clean build as usual and that livery is really attractive. Looks great beside its beer buddy!

Kirk, Thanks for sharing your memory with your Dad...very cool!
AND those builds are very well done. Brings back memories of what was once the best racing series of its' time.
I used to go to Phoenix, AZ for my birthday every year to watch Indy Cars race on the one mile oval.
That Reynard chassis was a very good race car. (Kirk you put me in memory lane)
Shayne, Job well done! Those are very well done with a not so great kit.
