Amazing work. Almost a shame to have to paint it as brass looks so nice.

Hello Michael, Thank you sir and I like your're second idea better :D :D

Hi Stephen, I use Tix solder for a low melt solder and Novak silver solder for a high temp. For heat I use a basic small pencil iron and a small butane torch for large work such as the base plate for this one.

To Mr 68 , yes I thought about it, but am already doing a build that will be in 'natural' metal finish and wanted to show a painted model with this one...

small update...

added a fuel pipe and painted the inside flat black so I can solder the top on.

Wow!! :shock: I really don't know what to say, except WOW!! The GT40 chassis is coming along stunningly, and your other full-metal build.....just Wow!!! It's always a joy to see your work, looking forward to seeing more.

Would be nice to see all the parts sprayed in color,like conventional modeller would do.

Please tell me you wil be GSL bound in a few months........Would like to get an up close and personal look at both! :mrgreen:
