1/24 Belkits Ford Fiesta RS WRC - Rally NZ 2012 - Ken Block

Recently I finished this Ford Fiesta RS WRC. I used the Belkits kit with the gravel transkit. Interior was build OOB, I only added seat belts. On the outside I changed a couple of small things:

• The rear window was polished on the inside to remove the very thick lines. You can actually look through it now
• The rear side windows were replaced altogether. The kit was based on a "prototype" of the WRC car which had the same windows as the S2000 car.
• Added a small strip to the rear of the wing.

De decals are from Colorado and are some of the worst fitting decals ever. I'm pretty sure they were made for a 1/43 kit and then scaled up without trying if they would fit. To get to this result I used a lot of extra decals to fill up the gaps....
The decals were very good to work with though, reacting to Set and Sol very nicely. I also printed some decals myself for the rallyplates and numbers (the decals are for rally Mexico, I changed that to NZ) as well as the rear wing, mirrors and roofscoop (to replace the crap ones from the set).

A decal nightmare Very nice finish, Block is a good show driver but in WRC he was horrible.

As a Kiwi it's great to see a Rally NZ car! Despite the problems, the decal job looks great. Lovely build!
