What else can I say, but 'wow!'? A great model of a significant car in the career of my favourite American driver. Mario is a legend, and your model does him justice - beautifully built and finished, and very nicely displayed too.

I have a few AMT Indycars in the stash (mainly Penskes), so I can see a lot of work has gone into this one!
Some say he believes Star Wars is a documentary...

I've always believed that you should never, ever give up and you should always keep fighting, even when there's only a slightest chance.

Mario did the same thing at Michigan that same year as well, if I remember correctly he had a 2 lap lead just past halfway and something broke yet again!

Just an unbelievable speedway car.

Very nice build! As miked and other here say, it's nice and "shiny". Makes me want to add Indy cars to my collection. Nice work!

He dominated a LOT of races that year. When he finished, he usually won. 8 poles (out of 15 races) and 2 wins.

Looks great, there's something about the late 80's and early 90's Indycars that just conveys a sense of power and speed, and Mario is a personal favourite of mine too.

Thanks for sharing it with us.
Happy modelling
