Engines are not necessary in modern cars kits, but it should be cheaper...

Re: Lack of Engines in for Modern F1 models
Lack of Engines in modern F1! Exactly why I am not building Modern f1. 90's and early 2000 cars are as far as I will go for now.
Actually building other subjects like MOTOGP instead of F1. Like was mentioned kits are expensive enough so don't take away
the option to detail a engine. The WHY does not matter to me. It seems to always come down to politics or money.
Yes we all like to be as accurate as possible. It is a model. As much as many of us strive to create a exact replica, that is obviously not possible.
All we can do as modelers is enhance what we get to the best of our abilities.
Again for now I am looking at other subjects and building some of those older kits on the shelf.

Re: Lack of Engines in for Modern F1 models
Actually it really doesn't bother me, that modern kits really don't have a motor in them. Less to model and less to to get frurtrated with. And this ISMHO why would modern F1 teams let us model there current engines when there trying to keep it a secret from the other teams.

Toyota has a very technically interesting "screen" this year! Appears to a hybrid of aluminum & vinyl.

But then it is test day, so maybe some secrets are in order!
I would rather have a curbside than no model at all!

Interesting how the undertray is split down the middle in the picture you posted the link to. I have not seen that before.smbrm1 wrote:Toyota has a very technically interesting "screen" this year! Appears to a hybrid of aluminum & vinyl.
