If the rear fenders help prevent a repeat of what happened to Dan Wheldon then I can live with them.
Are they only on the oval course set up or for road races too?
I will also be looking out for how Rubens goes.

Looks like I am in the minority but I think the new chassis looks fantastic. If anything looks bland to me, its the front end. And yes, if the new design keeps cars from elevating into catch fences after wheel to wheel contact -- then that is a beautiful thing for the IRL.

My thoughts exactly. Behind the front wheels it looks awesome.
