1/12 Ken Miles Ford GT40 Daytona 24 hr winner
Check out my first YouTube video. Where I build the re-issued 1/12 Trumpeter Ford GT-40 and converting it with my new resin hood and fender conversion kit to make the 1966 Daytona 24 hour Winning car
Be sure to hit the like and subscribe button as I put an unbelievable amount of time into doing it.

Nice video, looks like you put a lot of effort into it....thanks !
To bad it's the same crappy model like before
Also interesting to see how different your building sequence was compared to mine.

Thanks, My building sequence wasn't necessarily shown accurately in this video as I had so many other projects going on while doing that, I didn't have my full attention on this build. The next videos I plan to come out with will be smoother and wont jump around as much as this one.daniel wrote:Nice video, looks like you put a lot of effort into it....thanks !

Interesting to see one built. Information that came out in the last few years says that all the Shelby built chassis tubs were painted Machinist blue and they all had silver heat blankets on the front face of the wall behind the driver. Restoration articles for these cars have been a gold mine of info.

I know the X1 was painted blue, but I wasn't sure about this one as there is very limited amount of pictures for this one.Daryl_Huhtala wrote:Interesting to see one built. I can find nothing suggesting the Shelby built the actual chassis tubs. They may have modified them, but all the data I can find says that they were made by Abbey panels in England. I had the opportunity to visit with Lee Holman the current owner of Holman-Moody racing. He owns all the original engineering drawings for the GT. He actually bought the remaining chassis from Abbey Panel when Ford shut down the GT program. He is using them much like Shelby is with the Cobras and is making "continuation" cars.Daryl_Huhtala wrote:Interesting to see one built. If your interested, here is a video I shot of one of his continuation cars at his shop during the visit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKuNBa4uIpM
