Jaguar XJR-9 LM, Tamiya, 1/24

Post by MarcoSaupe »

Hi

I finished another one, the Tamiya kit of the 88 LeMans winner.

The kit is of the usualy T quality, nice to build, the cowling fits not perfect, though I have no idea where the problem is, maybe it's a tiny bit warped. I used TS37, which is not a perfect match to the decals - it's ok for me and it's less visible on the photos, but I painted the roof, and you see the difference to the cowling directly behind.
The white is TS26, I used Mr. Super Clear on top. I added several wires, hoses, heatshields, leukosilk belts... The airbox part was either missing or I lost it (though it's a bit big for the carpet monster), but a colleague has a 3D printer, so I built a new one and improved it with wire end ferrules for the trumpets.

Hope you like it.
