This is a beautiful and inspiring build! Thank you so much for sharing! I can't wait for my painting skills on my McLaren's to look as good as yours
And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

Re: Beemax MP4/2 w detail set
Getting closer.
Nose is complete. Aside from a light clear coat to seal the decals. Probably a light future coat I'm always worried of clears melting the decals so I usually just finish it off with a light brushing of Future.
Side pieces are almost done as well just need some fasteners added.
Have to polish the main body piece still. Repaint one of the small rear wing pieces because it had some weird reaction. Then do the main body decals and it'll be very close to complete. Should have no problem making the model show Nov 1st. Hopefully it places but I'll probably lose the open wheel category to another tractor. Happened two years in a row now.

Which M@r!b*r* decals are you using? These seem just the right size.

Thought I replied to this earlier but I must not have hit send.
Anyway the MBoros are from Tabu and I think they're older and were designed for a St27 or MFH curbside MP4-2. They don't have the white MBoros I need for the monocoque. I'll add those later or if anyone gets one of the new sets and builds it curbside maybe I can have the monocoque decals?
The show is our local model show The Cleveland Model Show

Usually I'm the only guy with race cars there. Sometimes there's maybe 1 or 2. Although a couple years ago there was a very nice 1/12 Ferrari in the ace of aces category. (Past winners).

Re: Beemax MP4/2 w detail set
Body decals on. I used pics instead of the included guide. It looked to me that the Lauda decals were in a different place than the guide says. Otherwise it's pretty standard.
When I put the second clear coat on I dropped it (naturally) so I got some black specks on the top of the spine. Polished as best I could but didn't want to mess with the paint so they're just going to be there. Not very big or noticeable so I'm over it. I'm pleased I got as good of a paint job as I did all things considered.
Rear wing work begins next.
