Indy 500 1974 (and more!) on youtube

Post by Flemming »

In surprisingly good quality! On an official site for Indy - not a fan who had recorded it on his phone in front of a TV-screen! :D

A lot of other races in full broadcast. Good!

Very cool! I've been watching old F1 seasons and its surprising how good of quality everything is in. Its easy to forget that for years the problem with image quality wasn't really the cameras but the broadcast medium. While the early 90's F1 races aren't in HD, they're a lot better than the old VCR tapes show us.

Looking at that pace car made me cringe. The darkest era of Detroit motoring. The cars that sent people stampeding to Toyota and Honda dealerships.
