Thin double sided sticky tape is the way to go for me.

Well the issue is a natural appearance. Based on one of previous posts, I intend to try just gluing the buckles down and leave the fabric find its own natural drape. I think to use this process I would start with the buckle end. Pin and glue that then pull the belts up and finish when the length and position looks natural. This is opposite what I do today but now that I hear these comments I think that is what I will try next.

Thanks for the tips,

Joe.

Interesting to read all those different solutions!
As i`m running out of the 3M double sided tape, does anyone have a source where to get it? It is paperthin and sticks very well, can`t find it anywhere cause i don`t have the 3M code for it.

I use a contact cement in a tube that goes by the name "Bison Kit". Used by BBR in Italy for their factory builds and is fantastic stuff. Order from Ebay.

Why is this cement so interesting comparing with other common cement glues ?

May i ask from where you got this information about BBR using it? Would be interesting to know, could not find any source in more then 20 years which told me what kind of glue they used on their window frames, not even RGM, they hide it like a holy grale!

As I believe Daniel mentioned, I have used "GEL" type CA glue with good results.

I use a brand called UHU from Germany. They have a gel that works great. It doesn't absorb into the cloth material the way a thin or watery CA glue would.

I also like the idea of double sized tape, which I have not tried. I may try that on a build!
