Diecast decals repositioning

Post by Joaquin »

I have a number of Minichamps and Spark diecast 1/43 models. Some of them have decals in wrong position or misaligned and there aren't spare decals by Tameo or other manufacturer. Is it possible to correct this with some product?

Really difficult... just water. Any sofetner will probably destroy and melt the decal before doing so with glue (your target).
Then for the aftermath, you can rely on some decal maker...
Are them quite many?

Well, depends on how much exigent I want to be in each moment. Almost all diecast have some misaligned decals, but considering only the really difficult to accept, I have about twenty.

I had reasonable hopes that could be available some product capable to do the job. Lets see if anybody knows some trick

Have you also checked Pattos Place?

Many of the listed decals are also available in 1/43. I don't know their quality, but they might have something you need.

No “purga de Benito “ (magic beverage) here I fear. Everything stronger than water will be dangerous with decals. 20!!! Wow !!!

Yes, I know Pattos. Decals are not bad, but not very accurate for 1/43. Another option may be to learn Illustrator, design decals by myself and send to print
