Racing Motorcycle Question

Post by biercemountain »

I recently got a bargain on a Tamiya 1/6 Honda CB750 racing bike which replicates the winning ride of Dick Mann in the 1970 Daytona 200.

My question is regarding the correct color to paint the INSIDE of the front fairing. The box and online reference of replicas seems to show black. Additionally, would the inside be textured? I'd imagine it's fibreglass and thus somewhat rough.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have that one also...still waiting to be made.

Check here, it is replica parts but guys know a lot about it, so there is texture like you supposed

And as far as I could see and find back in the days I was looking for pictures, it looks that it is black inside, problem is the only visible part is always top of the fairing and I haven't seen any historical picture that would show inside of lower part of the fairing.
