ref searched for Lotus 99 nose section
Hi there guys,
i searched my reference pics of Lotus 99t but could not find any picture without the nose sitting on the car. I mean there are break fluid tanks etc, but how does they look like? Any help would be great!

here's one.
Re: ref searched for Lotus 99 nose section
Thanks to both of you for the input, but it looks like i`m having a hard time to find anything about it, no picture included where the nose section is removed from the car. I don`t mean the cowl, i mean the complete nose section which is mouted on the chassis! Maybe a Hiro instruction can help a bit, can`t find any pic from the real car.

Thank you Seema, it helps a bit to clear the situation. Looks like there are less details to be shown when i look at the instruction guide line, only the brake fluid reservoirs.

The thing is that there is no "removable" nose section..It is all in the one piece monocoque and this makes it hard to find the good reference

Oh, that`s maybe the reason why there are no pics around from this section! Did not knew that, was it realy not removable? I thought the nose section is more a crash box which can be changed, otherwise the complete chassis would be rubbish after a front crash.herrboma wrote:The thing is that there is no "removable" nose section..It is all in the one piece monocoque and this makes it hard to find the good reference

Re: ref searched for Lotus 99 nose section
Yes. It's a removable crash box. You can tell from the rivet lines around the nose where the bulkheads are fixed into the molded monocoque parts. With the removable cowling it wasn't necessary then to remove the crashbox as the mechanics could reach the fluid reservoirs and there wasn't much else unlike on today's cars.
Re: ref searched for Lotus 99 nose section
Many thanks Joachim, i wondered why there are no pics aroound with the nose appart of the car like on others. Makes sence not to remove it when the cowl can be removed to work on it, i hoped for some extra details but ok, less work to do in this case!
