DO NOT SOAK RESIN PARTS IN ACETONE!!!
A quick wipe-down is probably fine, but prolonged exposure will destroy resin. Lest anyone think 'more is better' and toss their resin parts in for a bath.
Je ne regrette rien.

Re: Mold Release for MFH?
1. I do not soak parts in acetone, only wipe them. That is what MFH recommended.
2. I do use the denture tablets to soak the small parts overnight.

If acetone is bad for an hour, then it's bad for a minute
Resin has porosity, it actually "swallows" the acetone, and even if apparently not affected, maybe later we may have strange reactions with paint, later on, when it's even worse

Re: Mold Release for MFH?
I’ve never understood the whole worry about release agents and everything else similar. I know my average process with every model I build is to sand down all the body parts and then wash with soap and water before priming. Why bother with soaking any parts first if you are going to work them with an abrasive? I have never had problems with paint sticking to one of my models because of a foreign substance except my own big fat thumb print.

Re: Mold Release for MFH?
I sometimes use a bit of panel wipe to clean parts and a tack cloth before painting, but I never clean, or soak religiously. Never had any adhesion problems on plastic, metal or resin..
