For those whom I told ages ago "I am about having them ready" ( ) just say that this time, at last, I am making the moulds... hehe.

Hi James
Are you sure for the difference of size between front and rear tyres in 1986 ?

Hi
It's me, I didn't understood correctly your post. In fact, you said that in the Protar kit, the front tyres are too small (13'') and you mold bigger tyres (15"). Is that right ?

Re: McLaren MP4/2 Protar
I built this kit many years ago. The tires are still in great shape. Maybe it is the perfect Hawaiian weather and keeping it enclosed in a case. It is good to know that there are wheels and tires available, just in case.

I believe James is saying that the kit has 15" fronts, while his replacements are molded at 13" front and rear - which is how the photos depict the car.

Re: McLaren MP4/2 Protar
Dave,
Your model looks fabulous I like the way you separated
the engine from the chassis.
I have this to build so handy for the reference photos.
Was yours the plastic version.
Cheers David.

Re: McLaren MP4/2 Protar
This was the plastic version. The engine is a separate kit I found around the same time as the kit. The rear engine cover did not fit well so I glued shut.
