Jeep wrote:"nearing completion"? From the picture, it looks like all you have left to do is put the bodywork on and celebrate!

Kudos on an awesome job!
That's what I was thinking.

Looking forward to more pictures of you excellent work.

It's strange, every time I think I'm going to finish the M23 it seems I've to do some small detailwork. That's costing me a lot of time. But now it's starting to crawl to the end. Here are some pics I took today, A little teasing perhaps but if everything goes well the final pics will come this weekend. I still have to do the windshield and the helmet I got from Wim (BBK). Keep you posted.

I decided to make the covers they put in the inletstacks to protect the engine. I made them out of alu-tube and plasticcard and sprayed red with a little yellow.

Hah, I had to double-take that first photo of the car several times to see if it was your model or the real thing. I'm still not convinced it is a model. :D

Perfect.

Absolutely beautiful! Great work!

Just don't forget to take the inlet plugs out before you start it up, or the engine won't fire!

Wow Eric. What a beautiful build of the M23. This is by far the best i have ever seen. I can't wait to see what your next project is going to be besides the FW07.

Very nice Eric, very nice, and the car seems to be happy as well, it is hanging its happy blue tail out!! :D

So what is the blue line's use?

Hi Eric...

Fantastic build your doing there, on the M-m-m-m-m-Mc-m-m-m-m-m.... James Hunt car!!!

It's funny your comment:

Is exactly one of the " big " reasons why I gave up building 1:12, it reminds of that film The Never Ending Story...
I've always believed that you should never, ever give up and you should always keep fighting, even when there's only a slightest chance.
