I also have this kit but i ruined the build some time ago.Ihave some questions
what combination of paints did you use?
Didn't you have problems when adding the chassy to the base? When i built the 2007 I was shocked when i saw that they didnt quite fit (the chassy was 1-2 mm above the base despite filing the chair)
How did you weather the tires? If you gave it an after-race look perhaps some traces of smoke will add a bit of realness.
What did you use for the motor exhaust pipes?

Re: Completed - Ferrari F2007 (Chinese GP)
Hi i have answer the paint question earlier. I used clear orange and red with base silver. I didnt have any problem with the fitting of chassis to the base or under panel. Perhaps you have fitted the chair nicely to the head guard that results in this? Or maybe the engine fitting or even the rear suspensions? i guess you just have to test fit everything again to see where the problem lies. I weathered the tires in a very unorthodox method and that is to use flocking. But i applied them using brush rather than sprinkle them on wet glue. I did give it some smoke but maybe its still too black. Should apply more in the future. Thanks anyway for the tip! I use a 3mm metal exhaust pipes which i got mediamixhobby.blend11 wrote:I also have this kit but i ruined the build some time ago.Ihave some questions

That's the best paint solution and result for this car that I've seen, and such a simple one, congratulations! By the way, which proportion of red and orange you used?

For this trial build, i use a ratio of about 75% red to 25% orange? I will be using a 50 50 the next time when i building my Fujimi or MFH F2007.
Thanks for all the kind words and comments!
