Re: P34 - 6 Wheeler
Well everyone - thanks for watching, but the end is near. The body has the final layer of clear which will now cure for a while before polishing. All the wing pieces are complete, including the rear wing support which was neglected (see sink mark & poor finish... but added a few washers to distract the eye) but luckily it's hidden under the massive rear wing!
I've included a shot of the colours used on the engine \ gearbox assembly as well as one of the braided lines, a\n fittings combo.
As a bonus the RB5 wheels & tyres... excellent quality + machined rims. So good to see a set of slicks and these should sand up nicely when the time comes =))

Big Duke 6
Great to see such a great job being done on this car.
I am working on one myself - hoping to get the blue spray can out tonight!!
On your recent posting of the front suspension, I can see brake duct tubing to the front wheels.
Can you please share your secret - did you make them, buy them?? - I really like the look of them and would like to include something similiar in my kit
Many thanks
Anthony

Re: P34 - 6 Wheeler
Hey Anthony - Thanks for the kind words...
Regarding the brake ducting, these parts were actually included in the kit, however they were on the 1977 version sprues. The 1976 instruction sheet didn't require these parts, however I thought they looked cool, so I added them in. I painted them brown, then flatt spray from Mr Hobby and then drubrushed with enamel Flat Earth. Once that was done I gave them some weathering with the Tamiya weathering kit D... Hope this helps.
Edit: To explain further, my kit was the 1977 version with the blue & white livery.. so there was an extra sprue included in the kit for the revised cowling shape + brake ducting... I was sent a copy of the instructions via roly01 which have proved invaluble!

Re: P34 - 6 Wheeler
Hey Big Fella,
Superb work mate, I also thought this was 1:12 at first. Excellent work with the washes, Indycals, a/n fittings, and the tyre lettering especially - not too white either, nicely done.
Are there plans for any seatbelts?
Looking forward to seeing the grand finale...
Cheers
Paul

Duke
Nice work, nice detailing also. I wonder if you could help me with the engine detailing.
In the kit there is a fuel filter in front left before the trumpets. where does the line connect to? it looks like it goes to the trumpet on the right side but that is impossible i think
thanks
