There are two kinds of reviews, in-the-box kit reviews, as Eric seems to be describing, and build reviews which Stu seems to advocate.
The build review is basically a wip with added info of historical nature. Any wip article can be a build review by adding a preface describing the significance of the kit or detail.
An in-the-box review is much more focused on the relative value to the purchaser. For immediate importance to the builder I prefer in-the-box reviews.
