Like what they are doing

Resin doors fine

I have no issues as long as they fit , all the posts here about shrinkage are total BS, if model manufacturer is doing their job is doesn’t matter

As for displays, yes I looked at all, and some need major dust coverage which I wanted to avoid badly otherwise would have gone with the all glass

I will argue with anyone on here about resin vs WM doors, hoods, etc

I have worked them all with MFH

Resin has worked the best so far period, no questions, no arguments

If you haven’t built Don’t argue

Several of the ones with metal bonnets, trunks and doors are the worst, period

They just didn’t fit and needed bending and modifying

The resin ones all fit fine, over many years of building

I bet the model is primered and not raw material, so not sure if they made the doors from resin.
Can`t follow your posts about the resin and white metal parts, your obviously not teached or educated about shrinking on 2K stuff like resin, paint, putty and everything else produced that way, google a bit about shrinking on resin and you will get a clue about it. White metal has no shrinkage, that`s the reason qiet often the parts don`t fit to the resin bodies, if they would do it from resin too, you would have a similar shrinking ratio on the doors and the body without fitting issues. I learned this in school and later in Job education, but maybe all of my teachers have been idiots cause they never build a MFH model!
I agree that it`s up to the modelmaker to fix such problems, it should not be a problem to the clients finaly.
Still like the Moby, but my stash i big enough and i have one in 1:43 to be done, enough to me.

Don't think that shrinking is a problem.
My fast cure resin from Sika G27 had a shrinking rate of 0,2%.
That is nearly nothing.
Every layer of primer and colour is thicker.

Only the different in color and materials is a bit tricky. But not the shrinking.

Thanks for posting this Christian!
On one point i agree, there are different ratios of shrinking, no question about that, but do you know the material MFH is using and do they calculate paint thickness in like BBR is doing?
There are ratios of shrinking up to 7% for casting resins, which is enough to get into trouble with fitting, the 0,2% your talking about is under "Laborbedingungen", especially for this resin, humanity, temperature and a lot more is counting in for that, not possible to reach at home. Shrinking ratios of more then 50% on laminating resins are normal, so you see, enough veriables are counting in which can not be controlled all over without a hugh amount of effort!
I did a couple of models on my own, the easiest way was allways to use white metal on everything, best results. Bodyworks from resin had allways shrinking during curing process, brought me on my first models into trouble with fitting of pe parts. Google it, you will find a lot about that.
MFH is doing wrong with mixing these parts, otherwise i would not read all the time about fitting issues with such combinations on their models which other producers don`t have cause they don`t mix such parts in choice of materials.
Like i said, i`m educated in this stuff and working with such stuff for about 30 years now, but read it on your own when you google a bit about it.
Take a stand!

Of course there are different kinds of shrinking with different resin types.
But as a company you can't use a wrong resin for casting that allows shrinking more than 1%
Than you are complete stupid and I don't think so that MFH is.
Maybe there is no space included for the colour. That's up the the modeller.
But I can't believe that they are using the wrong stuff. There resin is looking really good and they know there job.
A mix is always not the best decision and I do prefer resin doors also.
But with professional resin shrinking is not a problem.

mmm, maybe you simply need them to make correct LM livery, can't really tell from picture, but sure looks that way.
Sigh... hahaha
