What are you seeing that's wrong? Be careful interpreting a photograph taken almost one hundred years ago. Slower films required slower shutter speeds which can very slightly distort images depending upon the type of shutter, the speed of the car. panning technique, etc.

This:
That has nothing to do with an old image. I used that one because it's the actual car.
There are many current pictures of T35s around that show the same thing.
The tail is too high/curved too upwards. It litteraly pains me.... :-)

Yes, the top of the back is more curved and overall the rear looks too long, or the vents have to be more backwards. Something went wrong with the proportions
Take a stand!

Hello
I'm sorry but on the photo you take as an example we can see very well that the outer wheel does not touch the ground, the photo of the car is not flat
this explains that maybe?
amicalement

and we do not see the exhaust either don cla car and lift on its left side from almost 25 to 30cm
Re: MFH February 2020 1/12 news
I'm also irritated by the tire size.
The rear rubber MIGHT be in scale.....but the front wheel flank seems to be too "high" .....i compared a lot because this particular car is also in my interest.

Well, here's another picture then. Current restored car... and yes, the picture angle, focal length et al are not exactly the same.
I'm not arguing millimeters here. That difference is rather obvious ( at least for me...).
Btw, i agree with Jochen about the rim to tyre ratio... and note brake drum vs rim.

I think the 1/12th Norev diecast Bugatti T35 body looks more accurate than the Hiro, although the vents are not nearly as nice as Hiro's.

The Hiro is also a Type 35B supercharged as the Norev is a early Type 35 without supercharger and the upper engine cover row of vents.

Maybe it's just me, but this seems like a no-brainer. In Jaykay's photo the inside front wheel is clearly off the ground, as if someone were standing on the other side of the car and lifting it up. Using a line between the contact patch of the right side tires as the axis of rotation you would have to lift the other side of the car even higher to "roll" it closer to fitting inside the red lines. A lot higher. And if the inside rear tire is off the ground as well, it is actually even worse than it appears.

The cockpit looks lower on the real car than the model the driver is sitting lower in the car its half way down the rear tire,
Am not sure of the shape seems more curved on the real car although I guess this could be the weight of the driver!
