There is a rumour that Tamiya will produce, in a near future, 1/20 FORMULA E GEN2 CAR (Championship Livery) plastic kit.

It would not be so unrealistic. Tamiya has announced a 1/10 RC car FE car, so perhaps...
While I don't watch FE, I would build a kit of one of the cars.

The Meng 1/12 GT40 has been rebranded as a Magnifire kit and seems to have the identical box art as the trumpeter kit. I'm still not convinced that it's not a re-pop.

Nope - its the trumpeter kit rerelease without Ford Licence - means all logos and names of Ford are removed.

2 questions: The Meng kit is still a possibility?
Is the Trumpeter kit, although sadly lacking in detail, at least shaped correctly?

Sorry to spoil the GT 1/12 party, but was this thread not for 1/20th and F1?
There's one for this kind of subjects.
Understand that on this confined world, one jumps from the ede of the seat when theres F1 1/20 news and then "ooohhh, it was the Meng 1/12 car "
