I am not the expert by any stretch but I’m currently building the March 701 and the DFV looks just like this image. Flat ends on the cam covers, no triangular extensions on them.
(I’m building the Tyrell version)

Could be a March 701, the bracketless rear of the cam covers plays out. That would be a popular subject.

Re: September MFH 1/12 full-detail news
I thought MFH already did the M23.. turns out my memory was off. They did the M26 about a year ago. So if the M23 is still on
the cards, I suppose 2 of the 3 versions MFH is listing for this DFV powered car, could be the 1974 Fitipaldi and the 1976 Hunt
cars. Version 3 could be the 1975 car. This would go nicely as opposition to the Lauda Ferraris. Just wondering though as there
are a couple of 1/12 big T M23s about (1974: #33 Hailwood / Hobbs / Maas (Yardley) and #5/ #6 Hulme and Fittipaldi) already
out there. Might be a bit much. Also there is a transkit for the 1976 Hunt car based on the big T. So basically they are covered.
Not sure on the March, but then again I don't know much about these Maccas or that period either.

Re: September MFH 1/12 full-detail news
I don’t think it matters anymore if Tamiya issued the kit before. MFH has already crossed that ground with the Tyrrell 6 wheeler, the Lotus 49 and the Ferrari F641. Anyway at this point the Tamiya M23 is a 40 year old kit, so MFH can do a lot better.
Re: September MFH 1/12 full-detail news
Tyrrell 006 can be excluded, because he did not use this kind of brake caliper! It is a pity
