Has anyone considered it being an RSR Turbo?

I don't think the 911 rsr turbo had those types of wheels/tires.

Hmm, someone said that the pics show a car without a tube frame.
That would mean it's not a Moby.
But if that opinion is wrong, the tires and the number 78 could mean it's a Moby.
How ever, I think it's safe to say it's a Porsche Racecar and not a formula one Porsche.

Sadly I don't think so Alan.
The 908/3 got no slick tyres.
What about a Kremer K2?

Could still be a Porsche 936. Three spoke steering wheel with two holes in each spoke...

I don't know why Daniel comes to that point that there is no tubular frame.daniel wrote:I edited the image a bit and maybe that will help to identify. I think the "car" doesn't have a tubular frame, so no 936 !?
But if he is wrong than a Moby is possible.
But otherwise I really don't know what will come.

Re: New MFH full-detail 1/12 kit for June
Ok, I'm gonna say it, because it has to be. That'll be a 908/3
In all seriousness though. That is a Porsche. The steering wheel, well, the spokes are shown with 2 holes in the
left and right spokes of the wheel, 3 holes on the bottom spoke. What I can't quite place are the weird lever-
like things towards the instrument cluster. That would indicate something based on an actual road car to me -
think indicator / wiper stalks. The instrument cluster looks like your typical Porsche fare with a central tacho-
meter and maybe an oil pressure and oil temperature gauge to its right / left.
What struck me as a bit odd, but also points towards something based off a road car is the two long holes with
rounded ends. That seems to indicate that there is something akin to an actual dashboard in it. Or it's yet
another of those perspective things and it's actually way above or way below the dashboard area but still just
visible in the shot.
I'm lacking knowledge of later year Porsche racing cars (post 917s ) so I'm not sure, what this could be. I don't
think it's a modern car, so maybe rather 70s-80s like. 934/5/6? based on what I've seen maybe not. Oh wait.
Couldn't those two longish holes be part of the seat? Oh well. Back to work.
