Any way you look at it, an all new 935/78 kit will contain lots of parts, big parts and castings. When Starter released their 1/43 version, the red was dayglo. It was so cool. Couldn't get enough of it. Add the matching turbofan wheels! Was the body red actually Dayglo in real life? The museum car doesn't appear to be in photos. Never seen the car in person......Who's been to Rennsport?

Took this pic in 2011 on the Spa-Francorchamps track.. No dayglo on the body, just the wheel dishesjmpsebring wrote:Was the body red actually Dayglo in real life? The museum car doesn't appear to be in photos. Never seen the car in person......Who's been to Rennsport?
EDIT: this car is a replica I just learned. But I suppose they got the colors right..?

I visited the Porsche Museum in 2014. These pictures are from this trip.

I wouldn't count on it. The factory is not very true to itself. Evidence of that in the wheels in Dave's picture. They can't even put the correct wheels on the car. So you think they are going to be accurate on the colors. About the only thing you can count on is that if it was red it will look red. Might not be the correct shade though.mvc wrote:EDIT: this car is a replica I just learned. But I suppose they got the colors right..?

I attended 1978 Silverstone 6 hours - aged 14!! Cycled there and got in for 40p. Got puncture on way home so had a long, wet, trip home.
Never forgot that car! Sadly all my photos were in black and white but remember the vivid orange - and flame spitting.
Imagine MFH will do Silverstone and Le Mans versions...

I thought a Lauda car would be nice, but the rear tire has too low of a profile to be an F1 car. A MP4/2 would be nice.Fredo84 wrote:Couldn't be a MP4/2 TAg Porsche ??
