Re: New MFH 1/12 kit for April - Daytona
Wow Dave, that's cool what is their factory like?
Any pictures of the workshops.
Did you make any necessary purchases!
Is the shop easy to find?
I will have to visit this in the future but want to incorporate with a visit to Tamiya and Shizuoka model show.
Next year I'm thinking of making an Hawaian trip with my partner so may be able to call to you for a chat.
As I know you like Porsches a little!
Last weekend I went to Porsche platz 1
Zuffenhausen in Stuttgart.
This was interesting as I went by train from the hotel!
We stayed for 4 days just a long weekend and visited the Porsche museum with their Lang Nacht celebration of 10yrs.
Also the Mercedes Benz museum and the Bottanical gardens.
I will post some photos etc.
My favourite car on display was the
Long tail 908.
I managed to get a few pics of the
Sunoco version you built.
Will post. atb

I will post pictures when I get back home in a week. The experience was amazing.
I went to the Porsche museum and factory in 2014. When you are ready to come to Hawaii send me a message. I live in Honolulu. Have you up for lunch.

Not mine either ..I need to select them very carefully ..still waiting on a '70s or '80s Tyrrellallnie wrote:Subject is not really my cup of tee - but I am sure the kit is going to be fantastic. Personally I find the quick Vic's car interesting. Vic was a great driver.

Is it possible for the general public to visit or is it something that you need to know someone to get in?daves wrote:I was at MFH yesterday and saw their master modeler Kazu putting one together. Looks great.

More body photos are up. The roof looks pretty good and the body not bad other than the nose drooping to much, although that could be the low profile tires they put in the kit. Hiro really made the side profile of the tires to flat and they keep doing it. Maybe they measure the restored cars tires wich are new?? These cars had big fat tall side profile Good Year or Michelin slicks or rain tires. Hiro did the same thing on the Alfa Romeo T33 TT12 kit last month and have done it before many times. These old cars do not look right with low profile tires.

What do you guys think about the way the rear wheel opening is squared off at the top?
