FPPM kits do take extra work to assemble, other than the wheels wich are maybe the best in the business. He does interesting subjects others would not even touch, and the body shapes are very accurate as are 95% of the details. They do require more cleanup, but they are also a lot less expensive than full detail Hiro kits. If you have good modeling skills the FPPM kits are a great option. If you have limited modeling skills stick to plastic kits until you are ready. The Ferrari 250 GT Bertone 1/24th kit FPPM just did is a work of art, and that car has never been done until now in 1/24th scale. He also has done many F1 kits in 1/24th scale that have never been done in either 1/24th or 1/20th scales.

I think the trend will continue for built ups, as 1/43rd, 1/18th and 1/12th builts take over most of the previous builder market. I support any race car kits as this is a dying breed. Hiro and FPPM are now the biggest resin producers for race car kits. Other than the very poor tires on Hiro kits lately they still set the standard.

Happy July 4th to the Americans and sorry to the Brits, one of our closest friends who lost that little war.
