Looks like Revell is re-releasing the Benetton B194 with some sort of "25th Anniversary" packaging. Source: http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/Ausstellu ... tml#table4

That's not really a special package. The "gift sets" com with some paint, glue and brush(es) included so the person getting it as a gift can start building straight away. It's sort of a kid's birthday gift package. They do that with many of their kits.

Ah, thanks for clarifying! Either way from what I've seen and read the kit is... not good, but it will now be easier to find. It would be nice to see a new tool from Revell of the current generation cars. Their recent kits were actually quite good, despite being 1/24th scale.

It is very nice to see a new 1/12 car being made, and especially an Alfa Romeo, but a ...interesting... choice. Why not the 158/9 or the P3?
This version does not even have wheel fairings of the Targa Florio cars?

Still one must not complain, I guess.
Currently building:
Alfa Romeo 159 (since 2021)
Recently finished:
Renault R30 (since 2010)

Maybe because Pocher made it in 1/8th scale. Also several Touring 8C 2.3's could be done with a lot of the parts in this kit. I hope someone does other bodies either as a transkit or they do another version kit. The P3 was the real contender until new rules pushed the wider body Monza to the front.

They will probably be thinking in making some versions of it (like Pocher), if the model sell well. If I'm not mistaken they have done that with the FIAT 500

There is a Alfa P3 coming from FPPM in 1/24th scale someday to go with his P2 French GP winner.

Holy smokes - this is exciting all right. I'd be very tempted to do a double build for Prost & Rosberg. It's also making me wish the MP4/2B in my stash was the MP4/2 though
