Wolf Wr3 Ford - Theodore Racing 1/12
Here we are with another version of the Wolf WR1, which raced in 1978 as the WR3, purchased by the Theodore team which brought Keke Rosberg to his debut.
The basis is the classic Tamiya 1/12 kit, with the addition of the deca S27 set which is very difficult to find now.
I was inspired by the version that ran the 1978 Austrian GP in the rain.
For this purpose, I had a friend make some beautiful 3D printed wheels with the exact tread pattern, perfectly adaptable to the original rims.
I also created the mesh of the intake horns using the housings of the box airscope as a template, modeling a mesh over them.
I also reproduced the black adhesive tape used to seal the bodywork joints from water.
Hope you like it !

Looks pretty nice!
Unfortunately the decals from Studio27 have a lot of flaws, mistakes, that`s why i put mine aside and leave it for the first. But i`m doing the german GP car anyway.

Take a stand!

Re: Wolf Wr3 Ford - Theodore Racing 1/12
Since several people have asked for information about tyres, I thought I'd do a nice thing by posting more information about them here.
They are individually 3D printed with additived plastic material in high resolution and are hollow internally, making them very light, well defined and extremely resistant since we use the same system to produce small parts for RC cars
We made wet sets for the 4-wheeled F1s from the 70s/80s and a specific set for the 6-wheeled P34, plus a set of slicks as a test.
In the photo you see both a rear rain sanded and painted in matt black, and the freshly printed rear slick and a front of the P34. with still the signs of the construction channels.
They are already black as soon as they are printed, they just need to be lightly sanded and repainted in matt black for an optimal result

Nice looking work, was it mainly built OOB or did you add further details?

Re: Wolf Wr3 Ford - Theodore Racing 1/12
I added some wiring like brakes and the meshes over the intake horns but no superdetailing
