Great result with a tough kit.
Wish there was a better kit of this and the 195.
Opinions run hot and cold on both, but i like them.

The engine cowl was warped and didn't line up right. All an all I'm happy with the results. I knew this kit had a bad reputation and that was kind of my motivation to build it. It's basically OOB with some Scale Motorsport carbon here and there. The paint is by Gravity Spain as well as the clearcoat. Other paints I used were by Tamiya and Alcad.
I also built the car earlier this year.
It was just a real battle and I don't know why Revell brought out a Rebox on such an occasion (25th anniversary of the Benetton Ford B194) without learning anything from the mistakes of the first model and making a few adjustments.
I think it's turned out really well and I have to say it's a great job! Be proud of it - there are some things I didn't do that well !!
Thank you! When I purchased the kit I thought since it was a rerelease that some of the kinks might have been worked out. I had heard that the decals were new but apparently nothing was changed except for the tires. I grew frustrated more than once and at one point thought about giving up when I couldnt get the decals to line up. Somehow everything worked out though in the end. Your looks great, I wish I would have had it to look at for reference.
I still replaced the seat belts and did some scratch build stuff on the engine ... it was the first model since over 10 years

Re: Revell Benetton B194 1/24 Scale Schumacher
Thanks a lot ,really appreciate the kind words. You clearly understand all this kits weak points . That green plastic....fastbackfreddie wrote:I built this 20+ years ago...and yes its not an easy one. From the green plastic, complex paint scheme, complex decals, poor parts fit and weak and fragile suspension (front push rods are still just hanging in on mine). Its a challenge.
So....yes...this IS the best example I have seen so far ( steinietrabi, yours aint that bad either ). You have made an ordinary kit into an extraordinary model.
I understand and appreciate fully the work you have put into this one.
Excellent model - well done! Place it at the front of your cabinet and be very proud of it.
Cheers
Tim.

I will join those who said it is the best Revell B194 so far. Great job!
I don't recall having seen any being build here for years. And now within a few month you, and steinietrabi come along with excellent builds of this car. And Hein is currently also working on a 1/20 version. What's going on, boys?
Did you glue the chassisparts together before attaching the frontsuspension? There was a very ugly seam on the chassis of my car, when I tried to build it according to the instruction 20 years ago.

No, I glued it per instructions and carefully worked around the front suspension.Steffen_T wrote:I will join those who said it is the best Revell B194 so far. Great job!

Great job!! Love it, man! Looking at it you would never guess it was a difficult kit, you've worked some serious magic there.
