Awesome! My favorite car of all time, and you nailed it perfectly with the added detail and weathering, especially in the tires. Thank you for sharing this with us.
One question, I have the Safari Nitto Kit, is this the same model and molds or a completely different kit manufacturer? Can you post the instructions or the box art? I also have a Nichimo 1/10 scale Monte Carlo Stratos...

The Nitto kit was later re-issued by Doyusha and is the same. The Safari car has different (smaller) wheels and the bull bars. The kit does not include the rear bull bars though, so to be fully correct you could either build them yourself or look at different rallies as I think Lancia ran some other rallies with the roof mounted wheel and front bars (Portugal?).
Thomas,
Your build of this Stratos is fabulous.
I am in the process of rebuilding one of these at the moment, but it is slow progress!

Flintstone got the answers to you, there is several versions of the Stratos and also brands. Overall a nice kit but getting the many bodyparts to fit properly is very tricky!
for me the drivers door and the rear hood was nervecracking I did not use the hinges for the hood , didn´t work at all for me so now I just lift it up .
The Alitalia decals are also hard to get aligned properly on the rear hood, I did a lot of touch ups ..to use an airbrush and do some masking is maybe a good idea if you will.
Also make sure that the front hood does fit when you slide it over the front of the chassi, I had to sand down the sidewalls that holds the cooler.
There are boxes around the headlights under the front hood, you must make sure that there are enough space between them so the cooler fits.. I didn´t
I hope you understand what I mean, to wright in English isn´t so easy for me..

Your build looks excellent! It is only when you stand next to it you realise how tiny it is in 1/1. Really only built for Italian jockey sized drivers!
Best regards

Stig drove one! And Bjorn Waldegard (sp?) too. Stig ran some rallies here in the US in a 99. He is not a big guy though. I believe Bjorn is taller and he fit!!!
