Tyrrell P34 1977 practice Monaco Filming

Post by nsdias »

I'm a big fan of tyrrell p34 and all the projects that defied formula 1 common sense.
As a modelist I ended up following this line and as far as possible create unusual cars, either by the difference of the competition model, or by the only existence.
Since then I've seen the short video from 1977 where Depailler rides the Monte Carlo circuit on his Tyrrell p34, showing how the car works.
After long searching I found images of the day and searching the camera used further.
The whole model is scratch using tamiya and resin parts

The original GoPro! Very cool build. How that camera at that height, even at low speed, didn't snap off, is beyond me.

Apart from the outstanding modell, I really like the way you are presenting it:

You are using a peace of tarmac with curbs and pavement similar to Casino square,
you show pictures of the real car and I suppose that little screen shows the footage taken that day.

In my opinion a perfect presentation!

Interesting how someone smart thought to turn the logos 'upside down' so you could read them properly while watching the film.
