Here's my build of the 1:20 Tamiya Tyrrell P34, 1977 Monaco version. It's my third build overall, and while there are things to improve, I'd say it's the best of all three.
I had no major difficulties when building it. The problems I had were mostly my fault, like the exhausts not fitting properly because I glued them not having done a test fit before or when I had issues attaching the front suspension to the main body, basically because I painted the parts where glue had to go.
It's mostly out of the box, painted with a mix of Tamiya acrylics and spray cans. The following extras were added:
- Indycals decals for the front tyres, as logos are molded just in one side, but the real car had them in both sides.
- Air funnel meshes from MFH.
- Front wing support struts made using Evergreen polystyrene strips.
- Helmet visor made using leftovers of the clear plastic included with the kit.
