This is the Zakspeed which "raced" or at least tried to, in 1989 season. This could be the Monaco version with the red seat/padding driven by the German Bernd Schneider.
This is my second 1/24 kit completed, this one was nice to do too after the Larrousse, the parts fit quite well, including the cowling, I added some wiring and plumbing around the radiators and the usual seat belts. I used TS26 and Mr Color 68 "Red Madder" as suggested in the instructions.
The decals were ok except for the Pirelli used in the front and rear wing, they destroyed literally under my eyes and it became worse when I brushed them with some Micro Sol.
But in the end I am quite satisfied, I really wanted to have a Zakspeed in my collection, even though it cannot be 1/20 scale, it will do.
Oh, one last thing: in this kit I think 50% of the suspension arms are remade from scratch or fixed, they are soooo flimsy way too easy to break, so look out for those!
*** Special thanks to Thomas "martinpesce" for the help with seat color reference. It helped immensely!

It looks great!
The Zakspeed ZK891 is also one of my favorits from that era. I wish there would be a few more F1 Zakspeeds available in 1/24 or 1/20.
About your decal problems:
Have you build an old kit or the recent re-release?

Hey CG, that's a great job! - when that kit came out I ran out and bought a couple to make the East / West versions...'thought they'd make nice bookends (But I still haven't done them...)
The job you did has inspired me to do them now! - I only wish they were in 1/20 scale - I know 1/24 is probably more common (except for F1 kits made in 1/20 scale, typically), but hey!, I can let my Zax sit with my AMT Indy cars...
Thanx again!, Querque

It is the recent re-release, all decals were OK, except for the Pirelli ones. Very strange because they just sit flat on the wings surface, but still they broke very easily. I managed to save them somehow but not the best situation to be in!Steffen_T wrote:It looks great!

I also wish so much these little teams kits would be in 1/20 scale, there is actually Studio27 but that would cost me exactly 10 times more, I paid this something like 15 euros, the 1/20 from S27 is around 150 euros....there you go, welcome 1/24!indygp2001 wrote:... Wow, stunning work! I like the detailing that you did on the car, and glad it worked out with the seat! Overall a great subject, I really like these 1/24 kits, especially the smaller teams. Which one is next...?
