It looks great!

I have been building the same model and I think I'll use your idea for the support struts, it's a simple thing that will made it look better.

I have read in the WIP report you first applied the decal in the side of the cockpit, then you cut it. I cut it before applying, and it was OK, but there might be cases where it won't be possible to cut it beforehand. Any tips on cutting applied decals?

I've cut before and after application, either method can work fine.

When I apply a decal across body panels, once it's mostly dry (about 5-10mins??) I just use a sharp razor blade to slice down the panel line, then a little decal softener to make the edges conform to the model. In the case of this Tyrrell, they also got clear coated, so should hopefully never lift or tear.

Aha, it looks like a simple process. I'll have to try it out. Thanks!

Love the "pro" look of the pictures. Nice build I always thought that the Bank livery suited more than the bare ELF...

I am just finishing up this kit for Ronnie Petersons car in Belgium and i'm wondering if your engine/gearbox came out as crooked as mine did? Those old Tamiya DFVs are SUCH a pain.....

I'm not sure how crooked yours is, but yes, mine does have a small twist through the model. I'm not sure if it's a twist in the engine-to-gearbox join, or if the engine has screwed to the rear bulkhead out of square.
