3 1990 cars completed
3 cars now are complete from the 1990 season, specifically the 1990 French Grand Prix. I have tried to get the markings and configurations correct for that particular race.
I have a long ways to go skill wise, but this site really helps with good tips and techniques.
Which 1990 car should be next??

Is the Lotus a mod of the Tamiya kit? I'm in the process of doing the same car, interested to see your approach. They all look really good.

Beauties! Nice cars from the best era! I love all 3 kits, interesting to see the Lotus 102 there, nice modification from a ... 102B I suppose?

You're welcome guys!
Well, I do have memries of that brand, and that just betrays my age
If I remember correctly, that was a garage kit brand, contemporary of Facotry TZ and Hobby base Custom... some 20 years ago...

Yup, it's the Thumb Creation kit. It uses the Tamiya suspension, cockpit, rear wing, and engine. The nice thing is the body shape is pretty good and the diffuser shape, which was so cool on this car, is spot on, albeit pretty thick to start. White metal parts for the front wing end plates and exhaust were crude and unusable.
Decals from the kit were so dark it was almost black. The Shunko decals are nice, but do not include the "Racing Service" lettering as seen in the French Grand Prix. In the end, I went with custom decals so the blue was consistent.
I see the Thumb Creation kit from time to time on Yahoo Japan auctions.
