1990 Japanese GP Winner

Post by mazyen »

Hi,
Here’s my over 2 decades old Hasegawa B190 completed recently with a set of new Shunko decals depicting the 1990 Japanese GP winner after the Senna & Prost spat at the first corner.
The floor tray is warped affecting the engine cover, therefore cover has to be clamped & glued down.
Piquet figure is incomplete as I’ve got no decals for it.
Hope you guys like it.
Cheers
Lee

Excellent, Lee!

Which paint did you use? The colors look spot on.

I have the same kit also with the shunko decals for it.

Thanks for share it.

Very nice, Lee! I love the way the livery came out -- the colours pop, the shine is fantastic! The body "rivets", seatbelts and the Piquet figure are nice touches too.

Cheers, Chris

Very nice job on a lovely kit. And a dear subject to me, too - it was probably the happier podium ever, after all that time of Senna and Prost bad mood. I wonder if by request Shunko wouldn't produce a 1/24 version of that Tamiya decal sheet of the driver/team manager set. There was a Piquet Benetton uniform decal, if I'm not wrong.

Hi Lee,

Thank you for listing the paints you had used on your project.

I'll keep that in mind when I decide to build my kit.

Cheers,
