Tamiya 1/20 Lotus 25 - 1963 S. African GP
Hi everyone,
My last finished project before the season starts! I just finished up the Tamiya Lotus 25. I finished it in the scheme Jim Clark won the 1963 South African Grand Prix by over a minute with. The Tamiya kit was a delight. The only problems I had were a badly fitting engine cover and a ruined first finish with a TS-13/old decal phenomenon. Thankfully IndyCals came to the rescue and they were fantastic. I used Tamiya TS-43 for the green and a combination of Alclad and Vallejo acrylics for the rest. This was my first time using Future for the clear - it was amazing. As always, comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Classic car, classic kit, classy build. Lovely and doesn't it look so small against the McLaren.

Hello,
Nice job, your built is very clean, I like as well the picture with the McLaren, this is a good idea to show how big are the the new F1.
Cheers.

Your build is amazing, Jake. You got all the intake trumpets straight (which I know takes some effort), I like the different silvers you used on the powertrain for effect, and the quick-release PE parts on the rear cowl, and, the dash gauge wires are a nice touch. She looks great next to your other 1/20 cars too. Really shows off how the sport has evolved.
Congratulations!
Cheers, Chris
