Jake,
Very nice build and you have made it come to life with added touches but agree with daveyman M@r!b*r* logos maybe next time!
Thanks4Sharing! :)

Thanks for all the comments, guys! For clarification, I decided not to go for the M@r!b*r* decals because I had already gone way over budget with the build and did not want to spend any more on it. Even if I had gone for them, it'd still be inaccurate because the kit does not have Shell decals either.

Had any Problems with the fit of the Engine Cowling? Mine doesn't fit well.

Yes, the engine cover was narrower than the roll structure and the only way I could think to fix that is to use a ton of filler. That's part of the reason why I decided to go the full engine detail route

One of the most beautiful F1 cars ever IMHO, especially without those massive barge boards. Good choice!
I agree! I've started my Senna Australia car but haven't gotten too far. One thing that I've wondered about when a MP4/8 was run without the barge boards. What did they do about the mounting holes in the chassis? Were they left open? Some type of plug? Maybe a little white tape?
I ask because I see that you've filled in the holes. Very nice job Jake.

There were 8 chassis built and according to my research the monocoques that ran without bargeboards were built without the mounting holes for them.

Absolutely stunning build. I've been building cars for years and they aren't 1/2 as nice!

Just curious...what do you normally build?

Thank you, you're too kind! I normally build 1/72 WW2 aircraft - much different than this! And I'm really enjoying the auto builds. I think I'll start up a Tamiya 1/24 Alpine A442 instead of a plane next.
